Safety Advisor Duties

All our Safety Advisers are National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH) trained and have extensive experience of Health, Safety and Welfare.
Duties of Safety Advisor
The following services are included in the annual subscription for full members:

• Provide a comprehensive range of advice on Construction Health, Safety and Welfare to all members
• Visit construction sites and advise on Health, Safety and Welfare
• Prepare written reports as a result of their visit
• Investigate and provide written reports as a result of their visit
• Assist Group members in the preparation of Health and Safety Plans
• Assist Group members in the preparation of Health and Safety Policies
• Advise and assist in site audit procedures
• Advise in the preparation of Risk and COSHH assessments
• Carry out training for Group Members such as:
    - Health and Safety Awareness Course
    - Health and Safety Update for Managers and Supervisors
• Inspect and advise on general safety in offices and workshops of Group members
• Be conversant with all relevant legislation and make themselves aware of all new legislation
• Attend courses and seminars as directed by the Group Manager
• Prepare statistics on breaches recorded.

The Norwich Building Safety Group offer some training courses delivered in house by the Safety Advisors, and access to discounted rates with local training providers.
